Per Jamie Tozer the editor of the Saint John Sea Dogs/QMJHL Blog,  said the hit went unpenalized and needed further league review. Below is a list of reasons from the QMJHL’s player safety board.

-The player at fault attempted a shot towards the net from the blue line.
-The puck deflected on a player and headed towards the slot.
-The opponent redirected it in the neutral zone.
-The player at fault accelerated and hit him.
-He jumped before the impact and hit the opponent’s head with his forearm and elbow.
-The opponent was not injured on the play.
-This is not the first offense of the player at fault.

Tozer also says that the 2015 first round draft pick of the Boston Bruins won’t be able to return to games action until December 4, 2016, when the Sea Dogs travel to play the Gatineau Olympiques.
