Last night against the St. Lawrence University Saints, Boston Bruins prospect and the University of Wisconsin forward Trent Frederic seemed to have snapped his four-game point streak without figuring in on any of the goals the Badgers scored in a 4-2 win at the Kohl Center in Madison, Wisconsin. Hours after the victory, NCAA Men’s Hockey league officials determined that the 2016 first round selection of the B’s did, in fact, have a hand in one of the goals when he scored his fifth of the season when he was credited with the second goal that was originally given to teammate Wyatt Kalynuk.

With the credit going to the 6′-3″ 215-pound St. Louis, Missouri native, he looks to add to his 2017-18 season-long point streak as both respected  St. Lawrence and Wisconsin clubs once again do battle tonight. Frederic now has 5-4-9 numbers in eight games in this his sophomore year and is currently on pace to break his career high in points that he accrued in his freshman year where he posted 33 points in 30 games.

Below are a few videos with evidence that the league looked at carefully to prove the talented Frederic indeed got a piece of the puck that was shot from the point.

Always great to hear how our prospects are doing. Seems to me alot of Bruin fans forget that Trent Frederic was Bruins 2016 1st round pick. Maybe it got lost because of the 3 1st rounder’s Boston had the year before{2015} when they drafted Jakub Zboril, Jake DeBrusk and Zachary Senyshyn at #’s 13, 14 and 15. Plus the same year as Frederic went 29th overall, rookie sensation defenceman Charlie MacAvoy went 14th overall and we all know if the 2016 draft was done all over again, Charlie Mac would almost surely go top 5. Mark, if I could leave with a question to you, would be truly appreciated my good friend. Who, in your opinion do you think will have a bigger impact in the NHL, Frederic or Senyshyn?? Take into consideration Senyshyn has a full year on Frederic and is currently playing with the Baby B’s..I know it’s always tough to make those predictions cause it’s practically impossible to predict how a player will do with the big club..

Anyway BlacknGold, yet another great articlle. Keep em coming and thanks alot for keeping us updated on the Bruins of tomorrow!!
