After going 12 games without a goal and recent five games without a point, Boston Bruins prospect Jack Studnicka snapped his struggles offensively to earn points in his last two games. The monkey was ripped off his back on Thursday night when he got a goal and an assist in a 4-1 win over the Peterborough Petes.

Last night the 6′-2″ 177-pound second-round selection of the B’s in 2017 started another point streak when he contributed another goal in as many games in a 4-2 loss to the Mississauga Steel Heads. With three points in two games the skilled center now has 6-14-20 numbers in 22 games this season, and with a little more confidence in his game with an Oshawa Generals team that’s been banged up lately, I believe he’ll still have a great season regardless of recent struggles. Below is a video courtesy of Generals Live Twitter account ( @GeneralsUpdates ) of Studnicka’s shorthanded goal last night.

Studnicka was selected by the Oshawa Generals with the 21st pick in the 2015 Ontario Hockey Leagues priority draft and is currently in his third full season in one of the better Canadian Hockey League teams when it comes to junior hockey in Canada. The Tecumseh, Ontario native has appeared in 148 games for the Generals and has career 28-70-98 numbers, and with 46 regular season games remaining, he could pass his season career high of 18-34-52 he got in the 2016-17 season before the Bruins selected him in the NHL Entry Draft from Chicago, Illinois this past June.
