Episode Four Summary

In episode four of Black N’ Gold Weekly, Jon is joined by co-host of the Slapshot Sweethearts Podcast and huge Bruins fan, Shannon Walsh. Jon and Shannon begin by discussing the Bruins’ first three games of the season. They then get into the Bruins’ offensive struggles out of the gate and, and how much David Pastrnak’s absence is hurting. Next, they talk in depth about the Bruins’ secondary scoring issues and whether or not Jake DeBrusk should be on the trade block. Things turn positive as the two highlight the fourth line, which has been a huge bright spot early in the season. That leads to the topic of team toughness and protecting goalies, like Kevan Miller standing up for Tuukka Rask in the second New Jersey game. The two then go through their biggest pleasant surprises and biggest disappointments of the season so far. Finally, the show ends with a look ahead to Boston’s next two opponents; Philadelphia and Pittsburgh.
