The Boston Bruins look to be getting an important piece of their lineup back in the near future, as Craig Smith returned to the ice today for practice. Smith, Krejci, and Hall have formed a formidable second line since Hall’s addition at the trade deadline. Smith was out for game two with what was labeled a “lower body injury” that he suffered midway through game one.

The Bruins went on to win game one by a score of 5-2, helped in large part by a hat-trick from David Pastrnak, as well as some timely saves from netminder Tuukka Rask. Now, after missing game two, Craig Smith looks ready to draw back into the lineup. Per Joe Haggerty, Smith was back at practice today skating in his typical place.

Bruins coach Bruce Cassidy was asked about Smith following practice and mentioned that Smith made it through the whole practice, which is a “good sign.” Bruce Cassidy also said, “Obviously [Thursday] morning, we’ll see if there’s any residual effect. If not, then I assume he’ll be in the lineup.” These are all good signs for a Bruins team that looked a bit out of sync in game two.

Puck drop for game two is at 7:30PM tomorrow (Thursday) June 3rd at Nassau Coliseum in Long Island N.Y.
