Former Boston Bruins forward Craig Cunningham collapsed to the ice after an apparent seizure before tonight’s AHL matchup between his Tucson Roadrunners and their opponent the Manitoba Moose from the Tucson Convention Center in Tucson, Arizona.

The 26-year-old Trail, British Columbia native played in the Bruins organization from the 2011-12 season to March 2, 2015, when the Bruins released him to waivers. He was later claimed by the Arizona Coyotes organization where he’s played ever since.

Spending most of his time in the AHL with the Providence Bruins, the 5′-10″ 183-pound rugged forward appeared in 247 games for the Baby B’s contributing 75-69-144 totals with the top minor-pro affiliate of the NHL Bruins. In 34 career games in the big leagues with the NHL B’s he posted 2-1-3 numbers scoring his first career NHL on December 13, 2014, when he netted a shorthanded goal against the Ottawa Senators.

Cunningham was selected in the fourth round (97th overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft while playing junior hockey with the WHL’s Vancouver Giants. He was traded in the middle of the 2010-11 season from Vancouver to the Portland Winterhawks before moving up to the AHL with the Providence team. In 330 games in the WHL he posted 103-161-264 totals and 272 penalty minutes.
