Forward Tanner Jeannot signed a five-year contract to join the Boston Bruins this past offseason at 28 years old. Jeannot’s first season has been a productive one so far, recording 21 points and leading the team with 206 hits in 66 games played. Now, the day before the Bruins host the Toronto Maple Leafs at TD Garden, and starting up a back-to-back, brutal news hit Jeannot and the team at practice.

At practice this morning, Bruins reporter Scott McLaughlin posted a video showing that Jeannot was wearing a red non-contact jersey at Warrior Ice Arena. The video arrives two days after the Bruins’ last game against the Detroit Red Wings, where Jeannot may have suffered an injury.

Before Saturday’s game, Jeannot had gotten at least 10 minutes of ice time over the past four games. In the game before the Red Wings game, Jeannot had an ice time of 14:43 against the Winnipeg Jets. Jeannot had an ice time of 8:48 against the Red Wings, which can lead to concern about a potential injury.

This isn’t the first time that Jeannot has dealt with injuries this season. Jeannot missed four games combined back in December and January due to an undisclosed injury. Now, it appears another injury could be hitting Jeannot.

If Jeannot is out for some time, it could hurt the Bruins in their playoff push. Jeannot’s physicality is needed deeply on the Bruins, as he’s the only player on the roster with 200 hits. Jeannot has also recorded 50 blocked shots and is a solid defensive forward. Twelve games remain in the Bruins’ 2025-26 season, but having Jeannot healthy makes them a stronger team. Now, the Bruins have to wait and see about Jeannot’s health.
