The National Hockey League announced the three stars for the month of March, and there was a familiar face for Boston Bruins fans: Pavel Zacha.

Over the month of March, the Czech forward recorded 13-9-22 in 16 games played. He led the entire NHL in goals scored for the month. Zacha was recognized alongside Nikita Kucherov (9-17-26) and Erik Karlsson (9-15-24).

Of the 16 appearances, he had seven multi-point games, including a hat trick on March 8th against the Pittsburgh Penguins. This was his second hat-trick of the season.

He became the fourth Bruin in the last 50 years to lead the league in goals during a calendar month. He also led the league in shooting percentage at 37.1%.

This is all coming at the heels of an upper-body injury that sidelined Zacha from the 2026 Milano Cortina Olympic Games. His bounce back has been noteworthy, and he has come up huge for the Bruins in their playoff push.

The Bruins’ massive 6-2 win over the Dallas Stars last night was when Zacha recorded his 60th point of the season. This is the 28-year-old’s first-ever 60-point season, previously recording a high of 59 points in the 2023-24 season.

Zacha has been centering on a line with Casey Mittelstadt and Victor Arvidsson. They have had some of the best 5-on-5 hockey stats in the entire NHL this season. The three have played a big role in ensuring the offensive surge that is keeping the Bruins in a wild-card spot.

Zacha is on a 4.75 million dollar contract that he signed in January of 2023. Don Sweeney and the Bruins front office should do everything in their power to keep Zacha inked as a Bruin. His previous chemistry with fellow countryman David Pastrnak, but he has also proved that even when they are separated, he can contribute to the scoresheet in big ways.

After his two-goal showing against the Minnesota Wild on March 28th, he spoke with the media about the second line’s success. “[Arvidsson and Casey] are looking for me there and they made a great two passes today…Those are things that start to click more and more every game.

Head Coach Marco Sturm has also recognized the success of the line, but more specifically, Zacha himself. “Pav’s line is Pav’s line,” he said after Saturday’s defeat.

As the Bruins close out their final stretch of the season, Zacha will look to keep contributing to his team’s success as they aim to clinch a playoff berth. The Bruins are set to take on a familiar foe in the Florida Panthers on Thursday, April 2nd.
