On Tuesday morning, the Tampa Bay Lightning and the NHL announced the 2026 NHL Stadium Series logo. The game will take place at Raymond James Stadium on February 1, 2026, and will be the first time that the Lightning have hosted an outdoor game. It will also be the first time the Boston Bruins will play in a Stadium Series game. This season, the NHL will host its first two games outdoors in Florida, with the Winter Classic happening on January 2 in Miami between the Panthers and the Rangers.

The logo features hand-drawn typography inspired by treasure maps. Other elements of the logo, such as the lightning bolt on the pirate ship’s sail and the icicles on the sail and ship, reinforce the idea of outdoor hockey in Tampa, Florida. Fanbrandz and the NHL’s Creative Department designed the logo and incorporated Tampa’s swashbuckling history, which the city holds close. The Gasparilla Pirate Fest is a yearly tradition in Tampa, and this year, it takes place the day before the Stadium Series showdown.

The time of the game has yet to be announced, but ESPN will be on the broadcast from Tampa on the first Sunday of February. The brand logo has just been revealed, but we will likely wait some time before seeing what sweaters the teams will wear. Last year, the Detroit Red Wings and Columbus Blue Jackets played in the Stadium Series. Both teams revealed their jerseys a month and a half before the game. There has been no information on the jerseys for either team.
