The Boston Bruins have announced their training camp roster for the 2025 Training Camp. Fifty players, split between 28 forwards, 17 defensemen, and five goaltenders, will take part in the camp. Training Camp opens on September 17 at Warrior Ice Arena in Brighton, MA, with no on-ice practice.
Here is the Bruins’ 2025 Training Camp Roster:
Forwards:
Joey Abate, Viktor Arvidsson, Dalton Bancroft, John Beecher, Matej Blumel, Patrick Brown, Riley Duran, Michael Eyssimont, John Farinacci, Morgan Geekie, Brett Harrison, Tanner Jeannot, Mark Kastelic, Marat Khusnutdinov, Sean Kuraly, Elias Lindholm, Dans Locmelis, Fabian Lysell, Georgii Merkulov, Fraser Minten, Casey Mittelstadt, David Pastrnak, Matt Poitras, Jake Schmaltz, Alex Steeves, Riley Tufte, Jeffrey Viel, Pavel Zacha
Defensemen:
Jonathan Aspirot, Frederic Brunet, Michael Callahan, Jackson Edward, Colin Felix, Ty Gallagher, Jordan Harris, Loke Johansson, Henri Jokiharju, Hampus Lindholm, Mason Lohrei, Charlie McAvoy, Andrew Peeke, Victor Soderstrom, Billy Sweezey, Max Wanner, Nikita Zadorov
Goaltenders:
Luke Cavallin, Michael DiPietro, Joonas Korpisalo, Jeremy Swayman, Simon Zajicek
There are set to be position battles throughout camp. A prominent one will be for the bottom-six positions, specifically among the younger forwards like Minten, Poitras, Lysell, Khusnutdinov, and Merkulov. Also, look for players like Blumel or Steeves to make a strong push for a lineup spot on opening night after strong seasons in the AHL.
On defense, it will be interesting to see the battle for the seventh defenseman spot between Harris, Callahan, and Soderstrom. Harris may have the inside edge with his experience (164 career games), but Callahan had his moments last year in 17 games for Boston. Soderstrom is the wild card, having gone overseas to play in his native Sweden last season and only having 53 NHL games under his belt.
After Training Camp gets underway on the 17th, the Bruins will open up preseason play when they host the Washington Capitals on Sunday, September 21. After the multi-week-long training camp and six preseason games, a roster will be finalized ahead of the Bruins’ opening night matchup with those same Capitals on October 8.

Great article here Ryan. Very knowledgeable and well-written.
