The injury hits keep on coming for the Bruins. After losing David Pastrnak and Pavel Zacha to injury for yesterday’s game against the New York Rangers, defenseman Henri Jokiharju has been placed on Injured Reserve ahead of another Original Six showdown, this time with the Detroit Red Wings. Michael Callahan has been recalled from Providence on an emergency basis, and will draw into the lineup tonight.

A native of Oulu, Finland, Jokiharju has appeared in 25 games for the B’s this season, recording six assists, 10 penalty minutes, and a -5 rating. Callahan has played in three games this year with Boston, and is yet to record a point or penalty, and is a -2 in that time. His last game with Boston was October 27th, against the Ottawa Senators, where the Bruins were trounced, 7-2 by their Atlantic Division rivals.

Elsewhere, David Pastrnak will miss his second straight game, while Pavel Zacha is a game-time decision. Both Viktor Arvidsson and Charlie McAvoy skated today, but there is no timeline for either player to return to the Bruins’ lineup. Jeremy Swayman will get the start between the pipes for Boston, with puck drop against Detroit scheduled for 7 P.M. Eastern.
