The Bruins are in TD Garden for the final time before heading out on the road for their next three games. The New Jersey Devils are in town, and they’re set to face off with the Bruins at 7 p.m.

The Bruins (16-13-0) are looking to build on their win over the St. Louis Blues this past Thursday. Currently sitting in second place in the Atlantic Division, points are crucial right now, and Boston knows they can’t afford to give any away, even if it isn’t a divisional matchup.

The Devils (16-11-1) are sitting in sixth place in the Metropolitan Division, coming off a 3-0 loss to the Vegas Golden Knights, which is their fourth loss in a row and their second shutout loss in a row. Everything you need for tonight’s matchup will be below.

Lineup Changes

There’ll be no lineup changes headed into tonight’s game, as the same roster is expected to take the ice that played against St. Louis. Alex Steeves (6-2-8 in 13 games played) remains on the top line, alongside Elias Lindholm and Morgan Geekie. The top line combined for eight points in Thursday’s 5-2 win over the Blues.

Jeremy Swayman will be between the pipes. He’s had a much better start to the 2025-26 season. This is his first start since Tuesday’s 5-4 loss to the Red Wings, and he’s going to look to bounce back against the Devils tonight. Through 18 games this season, Swayman has a record of 11-7-0, a goals against average of 2.80, and a save percentage of .910%.

Highlights

Morgan Geekie has been white hot to start the 2025-26 season. In his last four games, he’s scored eight points (4-4-8). Many wondered if he’d be able to produce without David Pastrnak, who’s been sidelined with an injury but has started skating and could be nearing a return, and Geekie has proven the doubters wrong. In the four games Pastrnak has missed, Geekie has averaged two points per game.

Alex Steeves may have proven himself to be a diamond in the rough since earning a call up from the American Hockey League. His two points against the St. Louis Blues proved to be his second consecutive multi-point game, and sits in fifth place among Bruins skaters for goals, with a total of six.
