The Professional Women’s Hockey League has announced the Boston Fleet’s first two Walter Cup Playoff games. The final standings will be determined by Saturday’s regular-season finale, but the Fleet will get home ice for the first round.
With only four playoff teams, there are only two rounds of the Walter Cup Playoffs. Each series is best-of-five, with the home team playing at most three games in front of home faithful.
Games One and Two will be held at the Tsongas Center in Lowell, MA, the Fleet’s primary venue. Boston will either face the Minnesota Frost, the Ottawa Charge, or the Toronto Sceptres. The Montréal Victoire also clinched home ice for the first round. Once the opponents are known, the PWHL will release the remaining playoff schedule.
Semifinals: Boston Fleet vs. TBD
Game One: April 30th at 7pm at the Tsongas Center
Game Two: May 2nd at TBD at the Tsongas Center
