As the Boston Bruins did in the fifth round of the 2026 National Hockey League Draft, the team didn’t own a draft pick in the sixth round until general manager Don Sweeney made a trade. The Bruins made a trade with the Pittsburgh Penguins to acquire the 170th overall pick in this year’s draft and a fourth-round draft pick in the 2027 NHL Draft in exchange for the Bruins’ 111th overall pick in this year’s draft.

The sixth-round draft pick originally belonged to the Nashville Predators. With the 170th overall pick in the 2026 NHL Draft, the Bruins selected goaltender Roberto Henriquez. The Bruins have selected two goaltenders in this year’s draft, with Yuri Ivanov being selected 56th overall in the second round.

After a disappointing 2024-25 season in the USHL with the Green Bay Gamblers, Henriquez had a huge bounce-back season in 2025-26. Henriquez posted a 21-9-4 record with a 2.22 GAA and a .921 save percentage. Henriquez also played in two playoff games for the Gramblers, posting a 2.01 GAA and a .897 save percentage. Henriquez also played for Slovakia’s U16, U17, and U18 teams. Henriquez is 19 years old and a native of Bratislava, Slovakia. Henriquez is 6’2″, 187 lbs. Henriquez had his popularity grow big this past season by scoring a goalie goal and getting into a goalie fight.
