Tomorrow at 1 p.m. ET, the full 2026-27 National Hockey League regular season schedule will be announced. This upcoming NHL season will be the first 84-game season. However, the home openers for all 32 NHL teams have just been announced, and the Boston Bruins have three confirmed games on the schedule for next season before the full schedule is released.

The Bruins will have their home opener on Sept. 29 as part of a tripleheader on ESPN, which officially begins the 2026-27 NHL season. The Bruins will host the New York Rangers at TD Garden, with puck drop scheduled for 8 p.m. ET. Opening the season against an old Original Six matchup will be circled immediately on the Bruins’ schedule. Last season, the Bruins went 1-1-1 in three meetings against the Rangers. However, the one game the Bruins won was in Boston on Jan. 10, when they defeated the Rangers 10-2. In the win, Marat Khustnutdinov recorded five points, including four goals; Pavel Zacha recorded a hat trick; and David Pastrnak recorded six assists.

While having their home opener announced, the Bruins will be the road opponent for the home openers of the Minnesota Wild and Winnipeg Jets. On Oct. 2, the Bruins will take on the Jets at Canada Life Centre. Then, the Bruins will take on the Wild at Grand Casino Arena on Oct. 3. The Bruins split their two-game season series against the Wild, but swept the two-game season series against the Jets. Against the Jets, the Bruins scored six goals in each game.
