The NHL and NHLPA announced Sunday afternoon that the 2020-21 season is a go. There has been a lot of speculation around whether the NHL could pull off a modified season during the global pandemic, and it would appear after today, we’re looking at a 56 game season.

We’ve all heard of the possibilities around a league re-alignment for the upcoming 2020-2021 season. It would appear, according to Pierre LeBrun of TSN, that the league is closing in on a four-division league that would see Boston playing teams such as Buffalo, New Jersey, New York Islanders, New York Rangers, Philidelphia, Pittsburgh, and Washington.

Brad Marchand, David Pastrnak, and Charlie McAvoy each underwent procedures this offseason. Woburn, MA native Riley Duran was drafted 182nd overall by the Boston Bruins during the 2020 NHL Draft. The 6’2″ center is coming out of Lawrence Academy heading to Youngstown (USHL) this season. After his trip to Youngstown, he’s expected to make his debut for Providence College in 2021-22.
