Patrice Bergeron and Raymond Bourque.

Start any hockey sentence with those two names and Bruins’ fans faces will light up like a goal horn in OT (thank you Brad Marchand for the most recent heroics)! And now those names will be forever linked again thanks to No. 37 inching closer to No. 77’s all-time playoff games-played record … Keep Reading

Game 4 of the Eastern Conference finals are here, and the Bruins have reclaimed home-ice advantage after defeating the Lightning 2-0 on May 19th. A quick goal by David Krejci in the first period was all the Bruins needed to win game three; however, Andrew Ference scored as well, and Boston won 2-0. The Bruins looked … Keep Reading

They never said it was going to be easy and tonight’s game saw two teams battle it out in a physical game that saw not one but two overtimes. In what seemed like an evenly played matchup, Boston’s Craig Smith would net the game-winning goal that lifted the Bruins ahead in the series.

We are only two games into the 2021 Stanley Cup Playoffs for the Bruins, and I’m already wondering if we’ll be able to get a more accurate simulation than game two gave us. In the simulation, the Bruins won 3-2 in overtime. In real life, the Bruins won 4-3 in overtime. In the simulation, Taylor Hall, Jake … Keep Reading

Game three is here, and the series has resumed in Tampa Bay. After winning in game two, the Bruins looked to take the series lead. Boston displayed tremendous offensive play in game two, and much of the success was because of Tyler Seguin. Seguin scored two goals and two assists in game two to propel Boston to … Keep Reading

The effort from the Bruins in game one of the first-round matchup against the Washington Capitals really did not get reflected in the score, as the Bruins dropped the game in overtime. The effort wasn’t there, even when the Capitals put in soon-to-be 40-year-old goaltender Craig Anderson in net, who hasn’t participated in a playoff game … Keep Reading

With the Bruins Stanley Cup Playoffs already underway in Washington and down in the first-round series 1-0 to the Capitals, I thought I would go through the eight games they faced each other during the 2021 regular season, as well as my personal take and prediction for the series.

By the time you read this, the Boston Bruins will have already completed their first playoff game against the Washington Capitals. The playoffs are indeed a new campaign where regular-season individual performances are often rendered moot. Stars sometimes go missing and bit players can step up to be the hero. Nonetheless, we’ve made it to this … Keep Reading

“You’re crazy man, you’re crazy. I like you… but you’re crazy.”

If anyone, in my lifetime, would have told me the Boston Bruins could play the Montreal Canadiens (or the Toronto Maple Leafs for that matter) for the Stanley Cup, I would’ve responded with the above sentiment about sanity.

That’s not how modern hockey works. That’s not how teams … Keep Reading
