The Boston Bruins announced today that the organization and forward Ryan White have mutually agreed to terminate the Professional Try-Out agreement he was under while with the team. The nine-year veteran has been with Boston since his PTO agreement back on October 10th but did not see any game action with the B’s. His presence with the team was to increase internal competition but failed to show the Bruins Brass enough for another National Hockey League contract.
Ryan White’s PTO has been mutually terminated. “We wish him well. He worked hard for us,” Cassidy said. #NHLBruins

In his nine years the 6′-0″ 200-pound Brandon, Manitoba native was drafted in the third round of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft by the Montreal Canadiens spending five seasons with the Habs then moving on to the Philadelphia Flyers for two seasons and a year a piece with the Arizona Coyotes and Minnesota Wild. In 313 career NHL games, he posted 31-30-31 numbers and was a career -36 player while adding up 447 penalty minutes as an energy player and one known to get under the skin of opposing teams.
Per @NHLBruins Ryan White has been released from PTO. Not sure I️ understand why they brought him in if he couldn’t make team w/ injuries…
