The Boston Bruins have placed forward Par Lindholm on waivers. Many thought a paper transaction to the taxi squad has now seen increased reports of Par and Bruins organization using this waiver process to start the process of contract termination.
Per a news source in Sweden, AftonBladet, both the Bruins organization and player have agreed to contract termination. Once the 29-year-old forward clears the waiver process he’s leaving North America for more consistent playing time in his native country. Per the same report, Lindholm has already signed a multi-year deal with the Swedish Hockey Leagues Skelleftea AIK club.
Lindholm appeared in 41 games in two years of service with the NHL’s Boston Bruins posting 3-3-6 numbers. He was signed to a two-year $850K contract during the first day of free agency back on July 1st, 2019. During the 2021 shortened season Par only got into action once which was enough for his camp to look at other options and not continue to ride out his last year under contract with Boston.
