Just moments ago, the Boston Bruins officially announced their six-game schedule for the 2021-2022 preseason. Of those six games, the Bruins will split half of them at home and half on the road between three teams from the Metropolitan Division – the Washington Capitals, Philadelphia Flyers, and New York Rangers. All six games except for September 26th versus the Capitals (5:00 pm EST) are scheduled for 7:00 pm EST.

Sunday, September 26th

Tuesday, September 28th

Thursday, September 30th
Flyers @ Bruins (TD Garden)

Saturday, October 2nd
Rangers @ Bruins (TD Garden)

Monday, October 4th
Bruins @ Flyers (Wells Fargo Center)

Wednesday, October 6th

As the 2021 NHL offseason continues forward with the Seattle Expansion Draft taking place in the coming days, the official 2021-2022 regular-season schedule is believed to be announced very soon as well. That schedule is rumoured to have a two-week break from February 2nd to February 25th for the upcoming 2022 Winter Olympics that are being held in Beijing, China. ESPN’s Greg Wyshynski (@wyshynski on Twitter) broke that news originally.

The league does appear to be heading back into some form of normality and with the preseason schedules being revealed for teams across the NHL, it signs that an early-to-mid-October start to the season is in the works. Of course, things are usually subject to change especially in today’s day and age, but for hockey fans, a normal starting time plus an 82-game season AND the Olympics? Can’t ask for much more than that.
