Warrior Ice Arena will be filled up with color, character and even a few colorful characters for a special scrimmage Thursday, June 23rd!

The Boston Bruins will host Boston Pride Hockey in celebration of Pride Month for the second time. The scrimmage will begin at 7 p.m. and will include BPH team members, two B’s alumni goaltenders in Team Ambassador Tuukka Rask and NESN analyst & Morning Bru w/ Jaffe & Razor Podcast personality Andrew Raycroft, as well as Olympic Gold Medalist Colleen Coyne and her Premier Hockey Federation’s Boston Pride players.

To quote a press release from the NHL Bruins official website:

“Boston Pride Hockey (BPH) is a New England non-profit organization dedicated to providing a safe and welcoming environment for LGBTQ+ players and allies to learn, enjoy, and compete in the sport of hockey. Since its founding in 1989, BPH has grown exponentially, consistently expanding upon its wide range of dynamic and inclusive programs throughout the year. These include its Inclusive Hockey League, year-round pick-up games, tournaments around the globe, skill sessions, and youth hockey initiatives.”

The scrimmage is presented by TD Bank as part of their partnership with the Boston Bruins on “Hockey is for Everyone” initiatives, along with You Can Play.

The YCP organization utilizes the sport of hockey, and the League’s global influence, to drive positive social change and foster more inclusive communities, regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, gender, disability, sexual orientation, and socio-economic status.
