Hugs and high-fives all around!

The Boston Bruins, along with their effortlessly entertaining *1A/1B goaltending duo of Jeremy Swayman and Linus Ullmark pictured above, will be featured 14 times on national broadcasts for the upcoming 2022-2023 season.

(*And if new signee Keith Kinkaid gets the call to the spotlight, then his new mask must be Happily broadcast nationally:)

That’s almost 1/5 of the team’s entire schedule for all of the country & Canada to see across the following platforms: ABC, ESPN, TNT, ESPN+ and Hulu.

So, which of these two-dozen+ games are worthy of marking on your Bruins calendar this Fall, Winter and Spring to watch from your favorite chair, couch or mancave? Let’s take a look:

Opening Night = Opening Right

We know from rock band AC/DC that “TNT… is dynamite.” And what an explosive way to start the NHL season with your Boston Bruins battling the Washington Capitals on the road in D.C. airing on Turner Network Television’s Opening Night hockey program.

The exact date to mark down? Wednesday, October 12th @ 7pm ET. Expect a raucous arena, gritty game and bellicose broadcast to kick off the NHL-on-TNT season!

ESPNovember

The month of November begins with two games in three nights on ESPN and ESPN+ for the B’s. On Tuesday, November 1st @ 8pm ET Boston heads to Pittsburgh to take on the Penguins.

We should all be grateful that game isn’t airing on the Fenway Sports Group-owned NESN airwaves after the investment firm’s recent purchasing of the Pens! Whomever should the broadcast booth root for? (Like Sid, we kid.)

Following that road tilt, the Beantown boys in Black n’ Gold will stay mobile battling the Blueshirts from the Big Apple at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday, November 3rd @ 7:30 pm ET. This one will require a HULU subscription, however (is there such a thing as Disney-minus yet?).

The Winter’s Tale – A Classic?

Monday January 2nd @ 2pm ET could very well be a classic wintry tale with all the fanfare TNT will be putting on it.

In fact, the storylines — as previously outlined — are already Shakespearean with the B’s and Pens playing at an iced-over, outdoor Fenway Park for the 2023 NHL Winter Classic.

This is a must-see game that rightfully will be televised nationally AND accessible to fans of all entertainment as getting to see the greatest game ever played at the most historic sports cathedral of all time is broadcast (Black N’) gold!

B’s vs Wings… How Original

It’s an Original Six home-and-away, back-to-back on national television for the Boston Bruins and Detroit Red Wings come Winter’s end. On Saturday and Sunday, March 11th (1:00pm ET) and 12th (1:30pm ET), get ready for matinee mayhem on ABC & TNT, respectively.

The B’s and Wings are always a classic hockey match-up what with all the history and fanfare behind both organizations and fanbases. And based off recent history, there could be no better time for Boston to sweep this weekend series and spring into Spring with plenty of spring in their steps / skates!
