The Boston Bruins have signed 2022 seventh-round draft pick Jackson Edward to a three-year $860,000 entry-level contract. The 19-year-old defenseman is currently playing for the London Knights of the Ontario Hockey League.

So far, he has two goals and four assists for six points through ten games. The Newmarket, Ontario, Canada native was with the Bruins in training camp but did not appear in any preseason games.

The 6’2 left-shot defenseman is known for his rough and physical style of play and can also move the puck well. In 65 games last season, he scored five goals and had 20 assists for 25 points.

He isn’t afraid to drop the gloves either, as he recorded 110 penalty minutes for London in 2022-23. Expect him to join the Providence Bruins for the 2024-25 season.
