This morning, it’s seemingly been confirmed that the Boston Bruins are heading for a uniform rebrand. There was speculation that began following a leak by CBS, which saw a revised version of the Centennial game jersey from this past December, with some slight detail differences, but the same Centennial crest we saw during the 2023-24 season.

The speculation heightened yesterday when the official Bruins’ Twitter account posted a video of David Pastrnak picking up a jersey with yellow lettering and numbers, with the date “6.25.25.”

This morning, the official Bruins Twitter account logo changed to the crest on the jersey leak. Following the change, there were two posts made, one that saw the new logo at the end, and another that confirmed the two new home and away logos the Bruins would be using from now on, which were the same as the 2023-24 Centennial season jerseys.

Though the crest is the same, it’s speculated that the jersey itself is going to have more similarities to the Centennial game jersey rather than the jerseys from the Centennial season. It’s unclear what the final product will look like, but it’s likely to look similar to what we saw in the CBS leak from a few months back.

Along with the rebrand, there’s been some speculation around the importance of David Pastrnak in the rebrand announcement video. Many are speculating if they’ll combine a rebrand announcement and a new captaincy announcement into one, announcing David Pastrnak as Brad Marchand’s successor to don the ‘C.’

Pastrnak impressed during the 2024-25 season, both on the ice and with his leadership, so it wouldn’t come as a surprise if he were to be named captain. It’s not confirmed yet, but the announcement is coming in just two days, on Wednesday, June 25th.
