The Boston Bruins are getting set for another Saturday night white out Original Six matchup as they are hosting the visiting Montreal Canadiens at TD Garden tonight. Everything you’ll need ahead of the matchup will be found below.
Coming into tonight’s contest, Boston (60) sits just three points back from Montreal (63) in the playoff picture, with both teams currently sitting in the wild card race. Boston’s record, after Thursday night’s nail-biter win over the Vegas Golden Knights, is currently 29-20-2. Montreal, who’s coming in off a 4-2 loss to the Buffalo Sabres, is 29-16-7.
Tonight’s the third of a total of four matchups between the two historic organizations, and each team has taken a game in the two previous matchups, as Boston took the first game, 3-2, on November 15th, and Montreal took the second game, 6-2, on December 23rd.
Lineup
Tonight’s lineup will feature a couple of changes. Hampus Lindholm will drop to the third pair, playing alongside Mason Lohrei. Nikita Zadorov will play on the second pair, alongside Andrew Peeke. Jonathan Aspirot remains on the first pairing with Charlie McAvoy.
The forward lines will remain the same, with David Pastrnak playing on the first line, alongside Elias Lindholm and Marat Khusnutdinov. Morgan Geekie remains on the third line, playing with Fraser Minten and Alex Steeves. Jeremy Swayman is getting the nod between the pipes.
Highlights

Elias Lindholm is currently on a three-game point streak, and has totaled 9-26-35 through 41 games this season. He sits tied for second on the team for assists, with 26, and sits tied for third on the team in points, with 35.
