The Boston Bruins have announced the schedule for the first four games of their first-round series against the Buffalo Sabres. The Bruins hold the first wild card, posting a record of 45-17-10 and 100 points on the season. Buffalo skated away with the Atlantic Division title, so they’ll get home ice this series.
Games one and two will be played at the Keybank Center in Buffalo, New York. Games three and four will be played at TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. If it’s required, there’ll be a game five and seven back in Buffalo, and game six in Boston. The first four look like this:
Game One: April 19th at 7:30 p.m. in Buffalo
Game Two: April 21st at 7:30 p.m. in Buffalo
Game Three: April 23rd at 7:00 p.m. in Boston
Game Four: April 26th at 2:00 p.m. in Boston
Game Five: April 28th, Time TBD, in Buffalo
Game Six: May 1st, Time TBD, in Boston
Game Seven: May 3rd, Time TBD, in Buffalo
The first four games will be streaming on NESN and heard on 98.5 The Sports Hub. Generally, NESN holds the first six games of the playoffs before it’s handed over to national TV. ESPN and TNT will also share additional coverage of the games.
Beyond game four, there’s no certainty as to who will cover the games, but NESN generally covers the first six games of the series (if necessary) and anything beyond that goes to national coverage.
