The Professional Women’s Hockey League announced that Boston Fleet goaltender Aerin Frankel has been named a finalist for Goaltender of the Year. She is alongside Ann-Renée Desbiens of the Montréal Victoire and Gwyneth Philips of the Ottawa Charge.

This is Frankel’s third straight year as a finalist for the award. Kristen Campbell won in 2024 and Ann-Renée Desbiens in 2025.

Frankel had an outstanding regular season. She was the most valuable player on the Fleet roster for her performances throughout the year. She had eight shutouts this season, the league leader and a league record.

In her 26 games played, she had 19 wins. She recorded a 1.17 goals against average and a 0.953 save percentage. These numbers are the best of her career.

The PWHL Awards Ceremony is being held on June 16th in Detroit, MI.
