The Professional Women’s Hockey League hosted the 2026 PWHL Awards Ceremony on Tuesday night. The Boston Fleet took home five of the seven league awards. They had a finalist in all but one category (Forward of the Year), and won each.

All statistics and voting are based on the regular season and were submitted prior to the start of the playoffs.

Coach of the Year – Kris Sparre

Kris Sparre led the Boston Fleet to a franchise and league-best season, going 21-5-4 with a total of 62 points. Although his hiring was first met with skepticism, it was clear by the end of the season how thoughtful and impactful he was as a coach. The win is bittersweet; he left Boston after just one season to become the bench boss for PWHL Hamilton.

Rookie of the Year – Haley Winn

Haley Winn cemented herself as a Rookie of the Year candidate early into the season. She was second in rookie scoring and first among rookie defenders. She led all skaters in both average and total time on ice.

Winn beat Nicole Gosling of the Montréal Victoire (now with PWHL Hamilton) and Casey O’Brien of the New York Sirens.

Defender of the Year – Megan Keller

Megan Keller had an outstanding season in her hockey career. She led all defenders in points with 22, which was also a career high for the Boston Captain. Down the stretch, Keller was on the ice for long minutes, sometimes nearly half of the game. She was the anchor amongst the Boston Fleet all season long.

Keller beat teammate Haley Winn, and Sophie Jaques of the Vancouver Goldeneyes. This was her second time as a finalist for the award, the first coming in 2024.

Frankel beat Ann-Renée Desbiens of the Montréal Victoire and Gwyneth Philips of the Ottawa Charge. This was her third year in a row being nominated for the award and her first win.

Billie Jean King Most Valuable Player – Aerin Frankel

Undeniably the Boston Fleet MVP and now the league’s, Aerin Frankel had the best season of her career. She put her team on her back when it mattered most. Frankel becomes the first goaltender to earn the honor.
