The Boston Bruins are reportedly hanging on to Haverhill-native Jordan Harris after not issuing him a qualifying offer on Monday. The report comes from 98.5 The Sports Hub’s Ty Anderson after the Bruins already made a couple of moves on the day.
Harris was a depth-signing last offseason, after playing four seasons across the Montreal Canadiens and Columbus Blue Jackets. He made his Bruins debut on October 11th, 2025 and played in five games before suffering a broken ankle that kept him sidelined until he returned on March 5th, and he’d play just four more games on the season.
Through nine games across the regular season and the postseason, Harris recorded 1-2-3 and a -2 plus/minus rating. He didn’t have any points in the postseason. He played four games in the AHL with Providence, recording 1-2-3 and a plus/minus rating of +6.
He signed in the 2025 offseason on a cheap deal, signing for one-year at $825,000. He was not issued a qualifying offer on Monday, and it looked as though he could be on his way out. More details will come on the term and value of Harris’ new deal.
