The Boston Bruins have announced a couple of roster transactions ahead of their 1:00 p.m. game against the Florida Panthers tomorrow at TD Garden. Rookie forward James Hagens has been placed on injured-reserve, and the team has recalled forward Mikey Eyssimont from Providence.

Hagens, 19, has played in every game for the Bruins so far this season, and he’s had a red-hot start. He is currently tied for first place in rookie scoring with 6-6-12 through 17 games played.

In the Bruins’ last game against the Pittsburgh Penguins, Hagens was cross-checked in the lower back as he was making a rush for the net. He was clearly in some discomfort on the bench as the trainers took a look at him, and he went down the tunnel to seek medical attention and did not return to the game.

Mikey Eyssimont, 30, has had a red-hot start of his own in Providence after getting cut from the Bruins’ roster during training camp. In 8 games played for the Providence Bruins, Eyssimont has recorded 13-3-16 and a plus/minus of plus-five. Of all the forwards worthy of a call-up, he certainly takes precedent.

Boston will practice this morning at 11 a.m., where more answers are likely to come.
