The Boston Bruins announced the schedule and roster for their 2026 Development Camp. The sessions will take place from June 29 to July 2nd this summer.
According to the team’s official website, camp will begin on Monday, the 29th, with two on-ice sessions starting at 9:50 for forwards and 11:30 for defensemen. Tuesday’s skate will be a similar split-group style session, with the forwards skating at 9:15 and the defensemen at 11.
Wednesday and Thursday’s sessions will involve the entire group, with both beginning at 9:30. Wednesday’s session will be a drill-based day, while Thursday’s is the highly anticipated full-group scrimmage.
This year’s development camp is headlined by 2024 first-round draft pick Dean Letourneau, who’s coming off a career year at Boston College, where he posted 22-17-39 in 36 games for the Eagles. The 6’7 centerman finished tied for fourth in the NCAA in goals and 14th in points.
Other standouts include forwards Will Zellers and Cooper Simpson, who’ll both be taking the ice for North Dakota next season. Zellers led Team USA in scoring at the World Juniors and put together an impressive freshman campaign in the NCAA, registering 18-16-34 in 38 games. Simpson, a 2025 third-rounder, finished second in the USHL in scoring with 74 points in 61 games.
The Black and Gold will ice current forward prospects Cole Chandler, Beckett Hendrickson, Dean Letourneau, Jonathan Morello, Casper Nassen, Chris Pelosi, Cooper Simpson, Cole Spicer, and Will Zellers during the week. Other participants include 2025 second-round pick Will Moore (only participating in off-ice drills) and Miami University invitee David Deputy.
The defensemen taking part include Vashek Blanar, Elliott Groenewold, Loke Johansson, Kristian Kostadinski, Dylan MacKinnon, and Liam Pettersson. The defensive group also involves two invitees, Max Burkholder of Colorado College and Michael Neumeier of Western Michigan. The goaltenders are recent signee Max Lundgren of Merrimack College and camp invitee Kyle Chauvette of the University of New Hampshire.
This is just the preliminary version of the roster, and could very well be supplemented by additional camp invites or members of the team’s 2026 draft class. One significant player missing from camp this season will be 2026 first-round draft pick James Hagens. Evan Marinofsky of the New England Hockey Journal broke the news back on June 12th.
