The 6′-3″ 194-pound 28-year-old blueliner was selected in the seventh round (#205 Overall) in the 2007 National Hockey League Entry Draft and has spent his entire professional hockey career with the Winnipeg Jets dating back to when they were the Atlanta Thrashers before NHL relocation. In 226 career American Hockey League games he posted 49-96-145 numbers, and in 190 NHL games, he’s contributed 9-24-33 totals.
The Bruins signing of Postma is seemingly a depth move as the terms of his contract are only a one-year deal worth a reportedly $725K. Last season with the Winnipeg Jets he had 14 points in 65 games and carried a mandated salary cap number of under $900,000.
Paul Postma is a right-shot d-man. Career-highs in points (14) and games played (65) with the Jets last season.
