On Tuesday morning Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney announced that forward David Pastrnak had successful thumb surgery after a fall following a team event and will be re-evaluated in two weeks.

General manager Don Sweeney, addressing the media here at Warrior Ice Arena, says that David Pastrnak underwent a procedure on his left thumb. Repair was successful.

On Friday morning, the Bruins issued an injury update on Anders Bjork who had missed time in Providence due to a shoulder injury. Bjork underwent successful surgery on his left shoulder which was performed at Massachusetts General Hospital. His expected recovery time is approximately five to six months.
