Providence Bruins Announce Colby Cave Memorial Award

On Tuesday morning, the Providence Bruins announced, in collaboration with the Cave Family and the Boston Bruins Foundation, the establishment of the Colby Cave Memorial Award, honoring Cave’s commitment to helping those in need. The award will be presented annually to a Providence Bruins player “for their dedication to the community and charitable organizations.”

Bruins Sign Lantosi To Entry-Level Contract

The Boston Bruins announced today that the club has signed Slovak forward Robert Lantosi to a one-year, entry-level contract worth aa reportedly $750K at the NHL level. The 24-year-old right winger played in 50 games last season with the Providence Bruins posting 11-20-31 numbers.

Per RinksideRhodeIsland.com writer Mark Divver, the Providence Bruins have signed defenseman Derek Sheppard formerly of the Charlotte Checkers. The top minor-pro affiliate of the National Hockey Leagues Boston Bruins locked up the blueliner to a one-year American Hockey League contract.
