The National Hockey League kicked its 101st year last night with a few contests to begin the 2017-18 campaign but for us die-hard fans of the Boston Bruins, tonights game one matchup against last seasons Western Conference Champions Nashville Predators from TD Garden couldn’t have come quick enough. For me, the last three seasons have … Keep Reading

The preseason is finished for the Bruins, and now it’s onto the real season. Here are a few quick thoughts on the preseason/future.

Depth

One thing that has emerged from the seven games that were played is the amount of depth that the Bruins have in their lineup. Right now the Bruins have lots … Keep Reading

Boston Bruins Agitated By Rules Changes

By: Andrew Thompson                                                            Twitter: @godwentwhoops

Once again, NHL commissioner Gary Bettman seems to have it out for the players. This year, the league decided to strictly enforce rules that weren’t always a serious priority for referees. The league front office said it was done to speed up the game. So far, the new rules enforcement seems to have had the opposite effect.

The Boston Bruins are adapting to … Keep Reading

Happy (Almost) Pre-Season everybody!  With training camp beginning in the next few days and the first preseason game on Monday the 18th, most hockey fans are going from counting weeks to days to hours (by the start of camp I expect that to be down to minutes or perhaps even seconds).

Most people around this time of year Keep Reading

Over the summer there have been ‘rumblings’ that the Boston Bruins were one of the squads in direct pursuit of disgruntled Colorado Avalanche star forward, Matt Duchene. With training camps rapidly approaching the Avs’ front office is under increasing pressure to get a deal done. The clamor isn’t exactly building in the Bruins’ direction … Keep Reading

PuckNerd’s Bruins’ Prospect Pyramid – Part 2

By: Spencer Fascetta                        Twitter: @PuckNerdHockey

Last week, I started my 2017-18 Bruins’ prospect pyramid project (say that 5 times fast…) with a resounding bang. You can find Part 1 here. Granted, the bang was literally a piece only on Charlie McAvoy (spoilers!), but I digress. For Tier 2, I looked at players who don’t project as the elite game-breaker that McAvoy does, but still have the potential to … Keep Reading

Torey Krug Is The Boston Bruins #1 Defenseman Right Now

( Above Photo Credit:  Fan-Rag Sports Network )

By: Bob Mand             Follow Me On Twitter @HockeyMand

Torey Krug is the Boston Bruins’ best defenseman. Full stop. Engage Shields.

Ser Krug is underrated like Patrice Bergeron was five, six, perhaps seven years ago. Part of it has to do with his size (hint: he’s not big!). Part of it has to do with the NHL et al., and their geological … Keep Reading

Since being drafted 45th overall in the 2003 draft, Patrice Bergeron has had many memorable moments wearing black and gold. Here we look at why we love #37 in his so far 14 years with the Bruins.

Playing Through His Injuries

The 2013 Stanley Cup showed us just how tough not only hockey players are, but how much Bergeron … Keep Reading
