Patrice Bergeron will be out for at least the next two weeks following a blocked shot in the game on Saturday 24th in Toronto. He played Sunday because the X-rays had come back negative, but was given a CT scan after the Buffalo game where team medical staff discovered the hairline fracture in his foot. He is set to be re-evaluated in two weeks, giving him a potential return date of Tuesday, March 13th against the Hurricanes in Carolina.

This is a huge blow to the Bruins lineup and may also explain why Don Sweeney went out and got Tommy Wingels yesterday at the deadline. This way, Coach Cassidy can move guys like David Backes into the center position and still have solid wingers to put throughout the lineup. Bergeron currently has 27 goals and 27 assists in 55 games played this season.
