The Maine Mariners made their first official signing today, bringing Brycen Martin back to the Portland, Maine area. Martin was on the inaugural Mariners roster in 2018-2019, where he led the teams’ defensemen in points with 28 (7 goals and 21 assists).

The 25-year-old from Calgary, Alberta, is a smooth skater who should really help drive some offense but also plays a solid shutdown game. Martin spent 2020-2021 in Poland, where he played ten games and recorded five points. Welcome back to Maine, Brycen!
