The Boston Bruins have officially signed star winger David Pastrnak to an eight-year contract extension with an AAV of 11.25 million per year. The 26-year-old is having yet another dynamite season for the Bruins, with 42 goals and 38 assists for 80 points in 60 games played this season.

It has been a busy couple of weeks for Bruins as a franchise, as Don Sweeney has made two big-time trades and now has locked up a franchise cornerstone for the foreseeable future. Bruins fans can now breathe a sigh of relief as the Bruins’ leading point-getter is now under contract until 2031.

Pastrnak was a first-round draft pick back in 2014 by the Bruins and has 584 points (282 goals/302 assists) in 570 career games, all in a black and gold sweater. The Czech winger is also an astounding +113 in his career and is tied for fourth in the NHL with 80 points this season.

According to TSN hockey insider Darren Dreger, the contract is worth 90 million (11.25 AAV) over eight years, with a full no-move clause for the first five years of the deal. Pastrnak will also get 26.5 million in signing bonus money with the contract.
