The Boston Bruins have started the second day of the 2025 NHL Entry Draft by selecting William Moore with the 51st overall pick. The native of Mississauga, Ontario, played for the US National Team Development Program last year. The 18-year-old center is committed to Boston College next season.

The 6’2”, 174lb center has a left-handed shot. Moore scored 23 goals and added 24 assists for the NTDP this season. He scored three goals and 11 points for Team USA at the 2025 IIHF U-18 World Championship. He was ranked #29 among North American skaters according to NHL Central Scouting.

The Bruins acquired this selection on March 4, 2025, in a trade with the Edmonton Oilers. The Bruins sent forwards Trent Frederic and Max Jones to the Oilers in a three-team deal, and this selection was a part of the return. Moore will join Bruins prospects James Hagens, Dean Letourneau, Andre Gasseau, Oscar Jellvik, and Kristian Kostadinski in Chestnut Hill next season.
