The Professional Women’s Hockey League has announced the start of important preseason dates. The official start of regular season games remains unclear, but will likely push into a December start date.
Training camp rosters will be announced on October 5th. Each team will invite 28-32 players. Camps will begin on November 18th. It comes right on the heels of the 2026 IIHF Women’s World Championship being held in Denmark. The tournament will wrap up on November 16th.
All 12 PWHL teams will participate in two preseason scrimmages, hosted across five different cities. The Boston Fleet will host the New York Sirens and the reigning Walter Cup Champions, the Montréal Victoire.
All three games will be played at Boston Sports Institute in Wellesley, MA.
November 23rd: Boston Fleet vs. New York Sirens at 6pm
November 24th: New York Sirens vs. Montréal Victoire at 4pm
November 25th: Boston Fleet vs. Montréal Victoire at 2pm
The scrimmages will feature 21-player-lineups for 60 minutes of full stoppage play. A 3-on-3 overtime and shootout will be played regardless of the score.
