The Professional Women’s Hockey League released the highly sought-after 2026-27 regular season schedule. Featuring the four newest expansion teams, the league has expanded to 180 total games.
The PWHL officially split into two conferences: East and West. The East will include the Boston Fleet, PWHL Hamilton, Montréal Victoire, New York Sirens, Ottawa Charge, and Toronto Scepters; the West will include PWHL Detroit, PWHL Las Vegas, Minnesota Frost, PWHL San Jose, Seattle Torrent, and Vancouver Goldeneyes. Minnesota is the only original six team in the West.
Of the 30 regular-season games each team plays, 18 will be within their conference and the remaining 12 outside it. Each team will visit the primary or secondary home venue in each market, giving fans a chance to see every team.
Playoffs will also get a new look, with eight teams now advancing: the top four from each conference. Round one will feature four best-of-three matches, two in each conference. The winning teams will advance to a Conference Finals in a best-of-five format, concluding with best-of-five Walter Cup Finals.
The first-place team in each conference will get to select their opponent for round one, similar to what the league has done in years prior.
“We’re excited to have our schedule set and to see the continued growth of the league,” said Fleet General Manager Danielle Marmer. “The introduction of conferences is another exciting step in that growth, and we’re looking forward to being part of an Eastern Conference with rivalries that have been building since the inaugural season.”
The Takeover Tour will return, expanding from 16 to 24 games. Each team will get four. The details will be announced at a later date.
Fans should pencil in February 27 as a potential TD Garden game, with the Boston Bruins playing earlier in the day and the Boston Celtics on the road. Additionally, the Fleet might see some Madison Square Garden action, with their game visiting the New York Sirens on April 3rd listed as “TBA”.
The PWHL will have 19 Saturday broadcasts in the U.S. highlighted the ION Game of the Week. The PWHL All-Star Game on March 7th will also be carried by ION.
Hockey Night in Canada will carry the torch, featuring eight primetime PWHL matchups. Additionally, TSN, Sportsnet, Prime Video, and CBC will show games for Canadian fans.
Close to half of this season’s games will be played on the weekends. The 16 Saturday and Sunday games will give fans traveling a bit more flexibility. All 180 regular-season games can be found on the PWHL YouTube channel, with more regional partnerships being announced in the coming weeks.
Ticket sales begin today, starting with Flex Packs becoming available at 12pm local time. Single game tickets will go on sale October 9 at 10am local time.
