The Boston Bruins’ 2025-26 season officially opens on Wednesday night, when they travel to Washington, D.C. to square off against the Washington Capitals. The final round of roster cuts were made yesterday, and it saw players such as Matt Poitras, Michael DiPietro, and Matej Blumel get assigned to Providence.

While it was essentially set in stone after the roster cuts, the Bruins took to Twitter/X today to officially announce the players that would be on the opening night roster.

The mainstays, such as Elias Lindholm, David Pastrnak, Charlie McAvoy, and Jeremy Swayman, were obviously going to be making the roster. However, there were some surprises when the likes of Johnny Beecher, Jeffrey Viel, and Jordan Harris made the final cut.

The full list of forwards is Viktor Arvidsson, Johnny Beecher, Mikey Eyssimont, Morgan Geekie, Tanner Jeannot, Mark Kastelic, Marat Khusnutdinov, Sean Kuraly, Elias Lindholm, Fraser Minten, Casey Mittelstadt, David Pastrnak, Jeffrey Viel, and Pavel Zacha.
