While the NHL club struggled this week, several younger members of the Boston Bruins’ organization lit up the scoreboard. This week also saw the beginning of the Maine Mariners 2025-2026 ECHL campaign, and several B’s prospects were in the lineup for Boston’s AA affiliate. So how did they do?

Europe

Vashek Blanar this week for HV71 U20 (U20 Nationell): One game played, no points, no penalties, Even plus/minus.

Kirill Yemelyanov this week for Lokomotiv Yaroslavl (MHL): Two games played, two assists, no penalties, +2 rating.

Yemelyanov has continued to impress this season, scoring at a point-per-game pace in Russia’s MHL. Lokomotiv Yaroslavl are first in the league’s Gold Division at time of writing.

Juniors

Cole Chandler this week for the Shawinigan Cataractes (QMJHL): Three games played, two assists, six penalty minutes, -2 rating.

Cooper Simpson this week for the Youngstown Phantoms (USHL): Three games played, two goals, four assists, no penalties, -2 rating.

Simpson had a monster week for Youngstown, cementing his place on top the USHL scoring leaderboard alongside Detroit Red Wings prospect Brent Solomon. The North Dakota commit has been the best player on a Youngstown team that features multiple drafted prospects, as well as potential 2026 First-Round pick Jack Hextall.

NCAA

Andre Gasseau this week for Boston College (Hockey East): One game played, no points, no penalties, +1 rating.

Elliott Groenewold this week for Quinnipiac University (ECAC): Two games played, one goal, one assist, two penalty minutes, +2 rating.

James Hagens this week for Boston College (Hockey East): One game played, two goals, no penalties, +2 rating.

After a difficult schedule to start the season, BC played a winless RPI team on Friday, and James Hagens recorded his first two goals of the season against the Engineers. The Hauppauge, New York, native leads the Eagles in scoring, and looks poised for a dominant sophomore season.

Beckett Hendrickson this week for the University of Minnesota (Big Ten): Two games played, one assist, two penalty minutes, +2 rating.

Kristian Kostadinski this week for Boston College (Hockey East): One game played, one assist, no penalties, +2 rating.

Dean Letourneau this week for Boston College (Hockey East): One game played, one goal, one assist, two penalty minutes, +2 rating.

After recording his first collegiate goal the week prior, Letourneau followed it up with a multi-point performance against RPI. The B’s 2024 First-Round pick has looked astronomically better in his sophomore season.

William Moore this week for Boston College (Hockey East): One game played, no points, no penalties, Even Plus/Minus.

Jonathan Morello this week for Boston University (Hockey East): Two games played, no points, no penalties, -1 rating.

Chris Pelosi this week for Quinnipiac University (ECAC): Two games played, two assists, two penalty minutes, +2 rating.

Philip Svedeback this week for Providence College (Hockey East): One game played, 1-0-0 record, .966% Save percentage, one goal against.

Will Zellers this week for the University of North Dakota (NCHC): Two games played, one assist, no penalties, Even Plus/Minus.

Providence and Maine

The Providence Bruins are currently tied for first in the American Hockey League’s Atlantic Division, with a 4-0-0 record. The P-Bruins went 2-0-0 this weekend, with wins against the Bridgeport Islanders, and Hartford Wolf Pack. Fabian Lysell recorded two assists this weekend, bringing his season stat line to 3-3-6 in four games. Dans Locmelis also recorded his first goal of the season, burying a breakaway opportunity.

Meanwhile, the Maine Mariners went 1-1-0 to start the ECHL season. Luke Cavallin recorded a shutout against the Worcester Railers on Saturday, and dropped a 4-0 decision to the Reading Royals yesterday. His early season stat line includes a .953% save percentage, and a 1.51 goals against average.

Canadian hockey fans have always had a soft spot for the Boston Bruins – not least because of the historical rivalries against Canadian teams like Toronto and Montreal. As the Bruins continue their push through another intense NHL season in 2025-26, many fans north of the border are keeping a keen eye on live NHL odds to see how the team stacks up game-by-game. Whether it’s tracking their playoff chances or betting on matchups, following the Bruins closely has become just as exciting for Canada-based fans as it is for Bostonians.
