When Bruins prospect James Hagens elected to return to Boston College this season, winning a Beanpot title was on his mind. After all, the Eagles had not won the event since 2016, despite producing players such as Matt Boldy, Alex Newhook, Spencer Knight, Cutter Gauthier, and Ryan Leonard during that period.

I want to be able to win a Beanpot, be able to win a National Championship,” Hagens told Mike Morreale of NHL.com. “Everyone has their roles, but our team goal is winning. That’s what we want to do. We fell short last year, but it’s hopefully going to happen this year.“. After a dominant win in the semifinals over Harvard last week, Hagens and the Eagles had a chance to do just that, taking on arch-rivals Boston University in the Championship. How did they do?

William Moore unfortunately missed the game due to an injury sustained on Friday against Vermont.
