The Boston Bruins finally filled in the final piece of the puzzle on Thursday when they came to terms with holdout forward David Pastrnak. The B’s and Pastrnak agreed on a six-year, $40 million dollar deal. The new contract carries a $6.67 million hit against the salary cap.

This is an all-around win for practically everyone that has anything to do with … Keep Reading

The Boston Bruins will be going into the 2017-18 season with high expectations. The B’s got themselves back into the playoffs and are looking for a deeper run this year. While the Bruins roster (David Pastrnak permitting) looks like they can achieve this goal, there are a few players the organization are going to have to watch (and carefully manage) if they … Keep Reading

The Boston Bruins organization tried a new approach in fan outreach this last week. Over the last several days, the Black and Gold have bounced across all six New England states as part of their 2017 Fan Fest.  With the season just over a month away, the B’s reached out to the fans to get them energized for the upcoming 2017-18 season.

Tuukka Rask ‘100 Percent Ready’ for Training Camp

Tuukka Rask had a decent 2016-17 season for the Boston Bruins. Although hampered by several injuries throughout the year, the 30-year old Rask went 37-20-5 (37 wins being his personal best) in Boston with a 2.23 GAA and a .915 save percentage. He was also a key player in the B’s having the best penalty kill (85.7%) last season.

While Rask was one of the main reasons the Bruins … Keep Reading

As Boston Bruins fans, we take to social media to see if anything big is going on with our team. (Mostly we lament on how it isn’t October yet.) During the summer, there isn’t much going on. While news seems to trickle, there have been a couple of rumors regarding the Bruins that are still on a lot of people’s minds.

The Boston Bruins found themselves in the playoffs after a two-year hiatus from the postseason.  While it was great to see that happen, the Black and Gold only managed to get there in the final week of the regular season, and they found themselves out in the first round.

The Boston Bruins found a way to avoid arbitration with forward Ryan Spooner today, signing him to a one-year, $2.825 million dollar contract.  The contract is a near split down the middle from what the Bruins ($2 million) and Spooner ($3.85 million) wanted.

In the short term, both sides walked away with a win. Spooner got nearly a $ 2 million dollar raise. As … Keep Reading

The Worth Of Bruins Ryan Spooner

By: Andrew Thompson                                                               Twitter: @godwentwhoops

Boston Bruins forward Ryan Spooner has been the epitome of a Jekyll and Hyde player. When he’s on his game, he’s an outstanding center and a solid playmaker. When he’s not, his offensive and defensive lapses lead to the other team scoring goals. While he’s still an excellent player with great potential, the B’s never know what player is going to take the ice until the … Keep Reading

The Boston Bruins found themselves back in the playoffs last season after a two-year drought. One of the biggest reasons why the B’s found themselves back in the playoff hunt was their goaltending. (OK, it was entirely Tuukka Rask for the first half of the season, and mostly him for the second half.)

The Bruins had already locked up both Tuukka Rask and Anton Khudobin … Keep Reading
