So, the Bruins have been a little active today. After the massive Rick Nash deal was consummated earlier this morning, the B’s announced that they had made three more transactions. Paul Postma and Chris Breen have both been placed on waivers (and Breen subsequently gave an NHL contract), and they have signed US Olympic Captain Brian Gionta to a 1-year, 1-way, $700,000 … Keep Reading

Ahead of Monday’s NHL trade deadline, the Boston Bruins completed a blockbuster deal to acquire six-time All-Star forward Rick Nash from the New York Rangers.

In exchange for Nash, New York will get forwards Matt Beleskey and Ryan Spooner, defenseman Ryan Lindgren, a first-round 2018 draft pick and a seventh-round 2019 draft pick.

Earlier today, the Boston Bruins organization announced that they had traded forward Frank Vatrano to the Florida Panthers in exchange for a third-round pick.

The writing was on the wall for this one. While a lot of people seem to love the story about the local boy who becomes a gritty winger, it doesn’t work out too well for the Bruins … Keep Reading

No, not that one.

Nope, it’s not a forward.

Nope, wrong defenseman. This is way more difficult than it should be.

Well, that was a poor showing. In one of the longest BFRs of the season, I had a few thoughts on the shocking showings the Bruins have had in the last week, and the asinine trade deadline rumors surrounding the team.

A Bruins’ Depth Dissection

By: Spencer Fascetta                                                                           Twitter: @PuckNerdHockey

Much has been made in recent weeks about the Bruins’ supposed depth issues, and how they need to be addressed at the trade deadline. However, I believe that there is, in fact, a roster jam, the likes of which are quite difficult to manage. So, let’s figure this out.

The NHLers:

This group all belong in the NHL and have spent no time in the … Keep Reading

Boston Bruins: At The Trade Deadline, No News Is Good News

By: Andrew Thompson                                                                    Twitter: @godwentwhoops

The Boston Bruins seem to be in control of their own destiny at the moment.  From an ugly beginning, the Black and Gold have earned points in 30 of their last 34 games. With their most recent win against the Toronto Maple Leafs, the B’s sit comfortably in second place in the Atlantic Division.
