This week saw the return of NCAA Hockey to campuses all across the country. This past weekend, in particular, featured a matchup between the Boston College Eagles and Quinnipiac Bobcats that had seven Bruins’ Prospects playing. BNG company colleague Neil Simmons recapped that game, as well as some others featuring B’s prospects, which you can read here. Now how did everybody do this week?

Vashek Blanar this week for HV71 (U20 Nationell): One game played, no points, even plus/minus, two penalty minutes. Vashek Blanar this week for HV71 (SHL): One game played, no points, even plus/minus, no penalty minutes.

Blanar dressed again this week for HV71’s SHL team, but again did not see any action. He had a minor penalty in a 5-2 win over Linköping’s U20 team this week.

Cole Chandler this week for the Shawinigan Cataractes (QMJHL): Three games played, one assist, plus one rating, zero penalty minutes.

Andre Gasseau this week for the Boston College Eagles (Hockey East): One game played, three assists, minus one rating, zero penalty minutes.

Gasseau factored in on all three of BC’s goals in a 4-3 loss to Quinnipiac. The captain of the Eagles will be leaned on heavily this year as they look to stay in the mix for a National Championship.

Elliott Groenewold this week for the Quinnipiac Bobcats (ECAC): One game played, no points, plus two rating, zero penalty minutes.

James Hagens this week for the Boston College Eagles (Hockey East): One game played, one assist, even plus/minus, zero penalty minutes.

Beckett Hendrickson this week for the Minnesota Golden Gophers (Big Ten): Two games played, one goal, one assist, plus five rating, no penalty minutes.

Hendrickson kicked off his 2025-2026 season with a goal and an assist this weekend against Michigan Tech. Plus/minus isn’t everything, but when you have a plus-five rating in a two-game sample size, chances are things are going pretty well. This year could be a breakout season for the B’s fourth-round pick in 2023.

Oskar Jellvik this week for the Boston College Eagles (Hockey East): One game played, no points, minus one rating, no penalty minutes.

Dean Letourneau this week for the Boston College Eagles (Hockey East): One game played, no points, minus two rating, no penalty minutes.

Despite not getting on the scoresheet Friday night, Letourneau made his presence known, laying a few big hits. The Bruins’ 2024 first-round pick is still searching for his first Collegiate goal.

William Moore this week for the Boston College Eagles (Hockey East): One game played, one assist, even plus/minus, no penalty minutes.

Jonathan Morello this week for the Boston University Terriers (Hockey East): One game played, no points, minus one rating, four penalty minutes.

Casper Nassen this week for the Miami Ohio RedHawks (NCHC): Two games played, one goal, two assists, plus one rating, no penalty minutes.

Nassen had a great weekend for Miami Ohio, burying his first goal of the season on a nice one-timer. He also added two assists, helping to lead the RedHawks to a weekend sweep of Ferris State.

Chris Pelosi this week for the Quinnipiac Bobcats (ECAC): One game played, one goal, even plus/minus, no penalty minutes.

Pelosi got his first goal of the new season by going to the net hard and picking up a loose puck that was sitting in the Eagles’ crease. Pelosi was impressive in all three zones on Friday night and looks poised to have a strong sophomore year at Quinnipiac. He also reportedly put on 16 pounds this summer.

Cooper Simpson this week for the Youngstown Phantoms (USHL): Two games played, one goal, one assist, plus-one rating, ten penalty minutes.

Simpson added a goal and an assist this weekend against the Muskegon Lumberjacks. The Shakopee, Minnesota, native is tied for fourth in scoring in the USHL.

Kirill Yemelyanov this week for Lokomotiv Yaroslavl (MHL): Two games played, no points, minus two rating, no penalty minutes.
