The Professional Women’s Hockey League has announced that Boston Fleet defender Haley Winn have been named a finalist for Rookie of the Year. She is alongside Casey O’Brien of the New York Sirens and Nicole Gosling of the Montréal Victoire.

This is the second award she has been named a finalist for this year, also getting selected for Defender of the Year alongside Megan Keller. Winn was taken third overall in the 2025 PWHL Entry Draft.

The PWHL Awards Ceremony is being held on June 16th in Detroit, MI.

Amongst rookies this season, Winn is ranked second in scoring with 19 points. Amongst rookie defenders, she is tied for first alongside her former Clarkson teammate Nicole Gosling.

Her most impressive stat of the season is that she led all skaters in both average and total time on ice. Her presence was relied upon heavily for the Fleet this season.
