It wasn’t long ago that the Boston College Eagles were 2-4-1, having just been swept by their rivals, Northeastern, in a weekend series. Fast forward to the present day, and BC has won eight of its last nine games, possessing a 10-5-1 record. Perhaps the biggest difference maker for the Eagles has been the play of Bruins prospect Dean Letourneau.
Since the Eagles’ 3-0 defeat to the Huskies on Halloween night, Letourneau has seven goals and five assists in nine games. He’s also an absurd +11 in that timeframe and has not had a game in which he’s been a minus player in that category. So, how did Letourneau, and the rest of the Bruins’ prospect pool do this week?
Europe
Vashek Blanar this week for HV71 U20 (U20 Nationell): One game played, no points, no penalties, -1 rating.
Blanar was named to Czechia’s initial roster for the World Junior Championship this week. Whether or not he will make the final squad remains to be seen, as the Czechs will need to cut one defenseman before the start of the Tournament.
Liam Pettersson this week for the Vaxjo Lakers HC (SHL): Two games played, no points, no penalties, -1 rating.
Liam Pettersson this week for the Vaxjo Lakers HC U20 (U20 Nationell): One game played, no points, no penalties, Even Plus/Minus.
Pettersson made his SHL season debut this week for Vaxjo. He dressed but did not play on Thursday in a 3-2 win over Lulea, but did get 6:45 of ice time on Saturday against Skelleftea in a 4-0 loss.
Juniors
Cole Chandler this week for the Shawinigan Cataractes (QMJHL): Two games played, one goal, two assists, no penalties, -1 rating.
Chandler snapped a four-game pointless streak with a three-point game against the Sherbrooke Phoenix on Saturday.
Cooper Simpson this week for the Youngstown Phantoms (USHL): Three games played, one goal, four assists, four penalty minutes, +2 rating.
Simpson is now tied with Alex Pelletier for the USHL lead in scoring, with 35 points.
NCAA
Elliott Groenewold this week for Quinnipiac University (ECAC): Two games played, no points, no penalties, Even Plus/Minus.
James Hagens this week for Boston College (Hockey East): Two games played, one goal, one assist, two penalty minutes, Even Plus/Minus.
The next time Hagens will suit up for the Eagles will be in 2026, as he heads to Minnesota for the World Juniors.
Beckett Hendrickson this week for the University of Minnesota (Big Ten): Two games played, one goal, two assists, no penalties, +3 rating.
Hendrickson is fourth on the Gophers in scoring and is a +14 on the year, far and away the best in that department on Minnesota’s roster.
Kristian Kostadinski this week for Boston College (Hockey East): Two games played, no points, two penalty minutes, -1 rating.
Mason Langenbrunner this week for Harvard University (ECAC): Two games played, no points, two penalty minutes, -1 rating.

Pelosi was named to the U.S. Collegiate Selects team for the upcoming Spengler Cup. He will join fellow Bruins’ prospect Ryan Walsh on the squad.
Cole Spicer this week for Western Michigan University (NCHC): Two games played, one assist, two penalty minutes, Even Plus/Minus.
Ryan Walsh this week for Cornell University (ECAC): Two games played, two assists, no penalties, -3 rating.
Will Zellers this week for the University of North Dakota (NCHC): Two games played, one goal, one assist, no penalties, Even Plus/Minus.
Getting snubbed by the U.S. World Junior Team didn’t faze Zellers one bit, as he scored a highlight-reel goal against St. Cloud State this weekend.
Providence and Maine
Overall, it was not a great week for the Providence Bruins, as they lost two of their three games. Dans Locmelis, however, did have a nice assist on Christian Wolanin’s overtime winner against the Springfield Thunderbirds on Saturday. Wolanin signed a one-year deal with the P-Bruins this week.
