It was one of the quieter weeks for Bruins prospects in recent memory, in part because many weren’t playing due to the fast-approaching holiday season. Boston College does not play again until after Christmas, and the Swedish U20 league will not resume play until the new year. Even then, some Bruins prospects were still in action this week. So how did they do?

Europe

Liam Pettersson this week for Vaxjo Lakers U20 (U20 Nationell): One game played, no points, no penalties, +1 rating.

Kirill Yemelyanov this week for Lokomotiv Yaroslavl (MHL): Two games played, one assist, no penalties, +1 rating.

No games this week: Vashek Blanar.

Juniors

Cole Chandler this week for the Shawinigan Cataractes (QMJHL): Three games played, two goals, one assist, two penalty minutes, Even Plus/Minus.

The Bedford, Nova Scotia, native has six points in his last four games, and despite Shawinigan losing all three of their games this week, found the back of the net in two of them.

Cooper Simpson this week for the Youngstown Phantoms (USHL): Two games played, one goal, one assist, two penalty minutes, -2 rating.

Simpson had a multi-point game Saturday against the Omaha Lancers and is now second in the USHL in scoring.

NCAA

Jonathan Morello this week for Boston University (Hockey East): One game played, one assist, no penalties, +2 rating.

Casper Nassen this week for Miami (OH) University (NCHC): Two games played, one goal, no penalties, Even Plus/Minus.

Philip Svedeback this week for Providence College (Hockey East): One game played, 1-0-0 record, .935% save percentage, and a 2.00 goals-against average.

Will Zellers this week for the University of North Dakota (NCHC): Two games played, no points, two penalty minutes, Even Plus/Minus.

No games this week: Andre Gasseau, Elliott Groenewold, James Hagens, Beckett Hendrickson, Oskar Jellvik, Kristian Kostadinski, Mason Langenbrunner, Dean Letourneau, William Moore, Chris Pelosi, Cole Spicer, and Ryan Walsh.

Providence and Maine

Providence went 2-0-1 this week in their three games, beating the Hershey Bears twice before falling to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in overtime on Saturday. Frederic Brunet had three assists in those three games, Ty Gallagher scored his first goal of the AHL season, while Fabian Lysell, Matt Poitras, and Dans Locmelis also had goals.

The Maine Mariners split a two-game set this weekend, beating the Trois-Rivieres Lions 3-1 on Friday, and losing to the Worcester Railers 4-2 on Saturday. Luke Cavallin stopped 20 of 21 shots on Friday, bringing his record this season to 9-4-1.
